Cardhu Whisky 12 Y/O

A single malt from the Cardhu (from the Gaelic word 'cardow' meaning 'black rock') distillery in Speyside. Renowned as the distinctive malty middle used in the Johnnie Walker blends, Cardhu is produced in limited quantities by a deliberately slow distillation process and then matured for 12 years in oak casks. 

Nose: At full strength, heady, nose prickle, pear drops and tightly integrated heather, resin and sweet honey-nut notes. Enticing. Intriguing.

Palate: Well balanced, smooth mouthfeel; short punch, sweet and fresh, then a pronounced drying effect. Moreish. Enjoyable at any time, with little or no water.

Finish: Lingering sweet smoke in the attractive, drying aftertaste.
